Short and Simple Prayer of Salvation

Congratulations on your decision to accept the life of Christ. This is the greatest decision anyone could make in his/her lifetime.

Pray with me, this simple prayer of salvation.

Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus’ name. I thank you for your love for me. Thank you for the plan of salvation and for giving up Jesus Christ, your only begotten son to die for my sin.

I accept that I am a sinner and that Jesus took my place on the cross of Calvary, to pay the full price for my sin and iniquities.

The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life.

Today, I confess all my wrongdoings and ask that you forgive me all my sins.

I repent of my sins and decide to follow you for the rest of my life.

Thank you for saving me. I am now a child of God. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

If you have prayed this short prayer of salvation, I am glad to tell you that you are now born again. You are now a new creation and old things are passed away. All things are now new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

You are as new as one who never committed any sin. It is amazing to know that God does not remember any of your sins anymore. By the blood of Jesus Christ, you are now made justified and the righteousness of God.

One more thing.

You are now a new creation. Do not allow the devil to bring condemnation on you anymore. The bible says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” (Romans 1:1). And for everyone that Jesus set free, is free indeed (John 8:36).

It is good that you locate a good community of bible-believing believers and be a part of them, so you can be fed with the word of God and that you may grow by it.

Once again, congratulations. Welcome to the family of God.
